The Miko + Mollie Winter Campaign!
As you know, we don't do anything the normal way here at Miko + Mollie. We're innovators. We think outside the box and we just have fun with life.
So why not shake up our approach to seasonal campaign photoshoots? We wanted you, our gorgeous customers, to be pampered for a day and feature in your own campaign photoshoot!
So we ran a competition and our lucky winners Amy Munn, Nicole Aronis and Heidi Alabi excitedly accepted as soon as we emailed to inform them they'd won.
And it's safe to say that everyone, our models, our staff and our shoot team, had the most amazing day! Friendships were formed, fun was had and this is exactly what this industry is all about - women making other women feel incredible. Women supporting and empowering each other. Our happiness and power to succeed is intensified when we have the support of other incredible women. This is a philosophy I live by. And it is why we do what we do at Miko + Mollie. Any way we can help a customer feel like the goddess they truly are is an opportunity we would not miss.
On the day, the girls arrived to be pampered by Rachel Amber Hair and Make Up before changing into their first outfits and heading out onto the street with our fabulous photographer Deeandra Haw of Archer in the Making.
The program was carefully styled by Miko + Mollie head buyer and stylist, Courtney Rogers and shot at the stunning Mayfair Hotel in Adelaide, and around the streets of Adelaide. Check out those gorgeous laneways!
Nicole (left) is wearing winter Trelise Cooper (Sheer Perfection silk top) and Lexi Chaos suede look legging styled with the Elka Collective Carrie leather jacket and Sass and Bide Awakened Spirit braided leather belt. Amy (right) is wearing one of our favourite pieces from the By Johnny Resort 17 collection just because we couldn't have a shoot without featuring some of this collection! This is the Multi Foil Pleat Wave Mini Skirt styled with the new season Elliatt staple shirt called the Trance longline shirt and Ixiah Riot feather vest in black. This vest is such a styling essential. It can be worn so many different ways and made Amy feel so glamorous wearing it.
The girls then did a quick bottom half change to show you how versatile these pieces are. Above Nicole had a cool, day time street look but by switching to the Trelise Cooper Petal of Honor Sillk Skirt (or the Making Strides Pant not featured) this outfit is 100% evening glam. Amy switched the By Johnny skirt for a fabulous pair of Sass and Bide split side pants called the Night Sky Foil Print Pant. Both girls are wearing our sell-out Iris Robin Heels (black leather on the left and black suede on the right). These heels sell out almost as quickly as we are able to get them in for you!
Next we were joined by the gorgeous Heidi who had just finished up in hair and make up and the girls hit the streets of Adelaide in:
Heidi (left) - Stevie May The Cloudy Day Mini Dress, Kitte The Ringmaster Earrings, Iris Robin Heels in Black Suede.
Amy (middle) - Sass and Bide Night Sky Foil Print Pants, Lexi Micalite Corset, Kitte The Main Attraction Choker, Iris Robin Heels in Black Suede.
Nicole (right) - Mossman Prim and Proper dress, Iris Robin Heels in Black Suede.
While we were shooting these outfits the fabulous girls from The Adelaidian, Kristen Byass and Mel Zahorujko, were getting their hair and make up done with Rachel. They then joined us in the Henessey Rooftop Bar at The Mayfair for some glamour shots.
Nicole felt like a goddess in our Lexi Lola dress, given our signature hard edge with the Sass and Bide Awakened Spirit braided leather belt and the Iris Robin Heels. Amy couldn't stop swishing in her By Johnny Iris Plunge Pleat Dress and Heidi's smile shows how beautiful she felt in the Ministry of Style Wonder Off Shoulder Dress styled with statement Kitte earrings.
The girls from The Adelaidian looked stunning in the Premonition Alluring Midi Dress (left) and our favourite faux leather skirt by Mossman with the incredible fringing (right). We paired this skirt with the By Johnny Spot Peplum Top but it literally goes with anything. And try getting Mel out of those Alias Mae Abys heels...
Heidi stole the show in the Ministry of Style Dahlia flared skirt dress (above). She looked absolutely stunning and despite it being a long, long day by this point, this dressed pepped her back up again!
Nicole (left) and Amy (right) loved these outfits (above) so much they went for a post-shoot celebratory drink in them while the shoot team packed up the day. And we don't blame them! The By Johnny Georgie Dot Tie Back T dress (left) and the Thurley For an Angel dress are showstoppers!
This is my favourite photo from the day...
After we packed up our day we headed on down to one of our favourite bars, Electra House, to celebrate with some champagne and some well-earned eats that would have made any professional model green with envy.
A huge thank you to the team! It was a massive day but the vibe was so amazing and we had more fun than I could ever have imagined. I was on such a high for so many days and full of gratitude for the amazing women we meet through our store every day - customers, staff and other resources alike. The calibre of people we meet is incredible and we like to think our store brings these types of women together with our unique selection of designers and designs that appeal to the most amazing, charismatic, stylish and kind human beings.
I feel incredibly lucky to get up and do this with you every day and we look forward to treating many more of you to fabulous days as our models for our seasonal campaigns.
Head on over to the campaign page to see more photos and scroll down to the bottom to shop the products directly! Too easy.
Lots of love
Your Miko + Mollie team xx
